This year at Counter Plymouth Bridgette Ashton and Joanna Brinton presented STANDINGFRAME18 – the evolution of an ongoing collaborative project.
Developing their original platform structure, fitting within the dimensions of a standard Counter table, STANDINGFRAME18 incorporated a display structure – a support for print, sculptural and text pieces – attempting to open up the work for dialogue and engagement.
Counter draws together artists, collectives and book works to make friends, sell books, buy books, share work, share knowledge, learn something new, start conversations, ask questions, try to find answers and exchange ideas.
