Standing Frame at Counter, Plymouth

Counter draws together artists, collectives and book works to make friends, sell books, buy books, share work, share knowledge, learn something new, start conversations, ask questions, try to find answers and exchange ideas.

STANDING FRAME: is a collaborative project for Counter by Bridgette Ashton, Abigail Thomas and Joanna Brinton. A platform structure offers different areas for display, reading and interaction with artists’ works. Not only facilitating display but also a part of the works; a support structure that formats the work for dialogue and engagement. Works displayed included risograph, letterpress and other printed matter, small publications, audio editions.
