Deep Down: an artist led walk to the site of Wherry Mine

On Saturday 5 March as part of a programme of events for ARTIFICIALIA: Fake Minerals & Fancy Plinths, Bridgette Ashton lead a search along the pebble and seaweed-ridden foreshore of Wherry Town for a “martello-tower-like object” – the site of the 18th century underwater Wherry Mine.

Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Additional support from FEAST Cornwall & Redruth High Street Heritage Action Zone.
